AN OFFERING TO WATER
The Mazahua culture has several festivals where their traditions and customs manifest; within these include the worship of water.
The Mazahua culture is currently are linked to the Catholic religion and only intended in this research are the festivities Mazahua previously performed.
The worship of water is between 15 and 16 of August of each year. The people bringing offering to the water and dancing around a lake or river; this with the reason that the water god remembers his people and for Mazahua is thank you to have water and to apologize for it water is used improperly.
This is done because the people in this water scarce and according to their beliefs the god of water can be angry and why not send them water.
Also the Mazahua people have the belief that if a snake kills the lake dries up and the snake sent them some incurable disease.
